The Alabama High School Graduation Exam (3rd edition) or [AHSGE] will next be administered on the following dates:

Testing Schedule:  TESTING BEGINS AT 9:00 A.M. EACH DAY

RETURNEES: PLEASE REPORT TO SCHOOL BY 8:15 A.M. ON YOUR TEST DAY!

EXIT EXAM

The former Alabama High School Exit Exam (2nd Edition) will be offered ONLY during December and July testing for any former student who did not pass that exam.  Please call counselors Barbara Parker or Triconya Minor at the school (334-872-0518) to schedule testing if you are no longer enrolled as a student at Southside High School.  You need to arrive by 8:15 a.m. on test day to be assigned a classroom.

Tutoring is available.  Please let the counselors know if your need tutoring on any subject.

ACT

The administration of the American College Testing [ACT] examination is scheduled on the following dates.  Registration is made through the counselor's office about four - six weeks prior to the test date.  Most colleges require an ACT or SAT score prior to accepting a freshman into a program of study.  Tests are given on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.  The ACT consists of four timed tests, with a 10-minute break after two tests.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to test time.  Bring a photo ID, two #2 pencils, and a calculator.
