Career Technology Department

 

The Career Technology Department (formerly Vocational Department) serves as the cutting edge of work place skills and knowledge for today's youth.  Our department is responsible for training students in computer technology and applications, including keyboarding, word processing, database use, spreadsheet use, Internet surfing, accounting, and programming. 

SThe JAG program has been nationally recognized for its achievements in placing seniors in the workplace, complete with job success skills and knowledge.  Members of the JAG class compete at state and national events each year, bringing positive recognition to our school.  Advisor: Ms. D. Adams

Our Business Education classroom has a spacious spread of computers and desks intermingled to provide the optimum time on the computer and time in learning groups.  Students carry home valuable keyboarding and accounting skills after passing through this class - setting them up for success in business or college.  Teacher: Ms. E. The New Century lab trains students in valuable word processing skills that are essential for success in the global economy of today's world.  Teacher: Ms. Savage
